Introduction

The mouse is the animal model of choice for the genetic analysis of physiological as well as pathological processes in a mammalian system. The availability of tools for precise alterations of the mouse genome allows generating models for the study of human disease processes as well as dissecting basic biological processes in the context of the whole organism.

The OMRF Mouse Genome Manipulation Facility provides researchers at OMRF, OUHSC, and across the state with a centralized facility for the generation of gene-modified mice. In order to accommodate researchers from varied backgrounds and with different needs, the facility offers extensive services involving all steps from the design to the generation of the mouse model.

In addition to the services listed below, researchers are encouraged to discuss their needs with the Facility Director for adding services in this continuously evolving field.

The OMRF Mouse Genome Manipulation Facility was made possible with funds from the Presbyterian Health Foundation, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
