Introduction

The mouse is the animal of choice for the genetic analysis of physiological processes in a mammalian system.  The availability of tools for precise alterations of the mouse genome allows generating models for the study of human disease processes as well as dissecting basic biological processes in the context of the whole organism.

In order to accommodate researchers from varied backgrounds and with different needs, OMRF has teamed with Dr David Martin and Emory University’s Transgenic Mouse and Gene Targeting Core.  Dr Martin and his facility offer extensive services ranging from pronuclear injection to targeting of mouse embryonic stem cells.

In addition to the services offered by Dr Martin, OMRF’s own LARC continues to offer rederivation services.
